We hope you had a restful break! Great to see you all looking so flash in your Winter uniform. We are focusing on keeping the uniforms neat and tidy at all times, especially coming to and from school. Please ensure uniforms are worn with pride and CLEARLY NAMED
Religious Education this term we are looking at the Holy Spirit Strand- Te Wairua Tapu for the first 5 weeks and The Church Strand for 4 weeks and then finishing off with prayers.
Class Masses for term 2: Will take place every Thursday in the Basilica starting at 9am

We have PE on a Tuesday afternoon. This term our main focus is swimming.

We will be mixing the whole Junior School up so that we only have 3 groups swimming across the whole Junior School. We will be walking down to the pool in the afternoons and require parent help with this and dressing the children
This term we are looking at recycle, reuse. We are looking for donations of plastic bottles, egg cartons, plastic containers, glad wrap and baking paper tubes.
Please ensure it is CLEARLY NAMED. The children may come to school and go home in their PE gear on their P.E day (The correct school P.E gear is to be worn).
Library –Please remind children to return their books weekly and enjoy sharing them together at home

Homework: A huge effort to have reading logs signed off is needed please. All reading books needs to be returned to the classroom at least weekly
Cover-ups As Winter starts to set in the grass is getting muddier. If your child wants to go on the grass when it is wet they can bring a spare pair of shoes and track pants to pull on over the top of their uniform. These will only be needed when the grass is wet so can stay in the children’s bags.
